Dennis Setzer NCTS Records

  • Dennis Setzer set a NASCAR record with the win at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on May 21st of 2004.  He is the only driver with at least one win in 7 straight seasons in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series - dating to 1998.
  • Setzer broke the single season streak of top-10 finishes in 2003 by finishing 20-straight races inside the top-10.
  • Dennis Setzer won the 2002 race at Martinsville by starting in 33rd position.  It is the farthest any competitor has ever started a NASCAR Truck Series race to go on and win.

Dennis Setzer on New Hampshire International Raceway:
“New Hampshire is a great track.  I personally like it because its like a large Martinsville.  I have always been able to run well here, and the race in 2000 which was my worst finish was a race where I felt that I had the best truck.  Our one-mile (track) program has been pretty good so far this year and we sure could use a good finish to go with a good run.”

Dennis Setzer on his finish at Richmond (9/9):
“We felt that we had a top five truck in Richmond.  We didn’t start as well as we would have liked, but we made some adjustments and were headed in the right direction.  I believe we had just raced ourselves into the top ten and were turned by another truck.  I was under the 52 truck, and didn’t have any room for the 16.  He got into us in turn one and we were spun out.  Its unfortunate, but that is how its been for us lately.”

The Truck- “Token”
“Token” was one of the first trucks built for use in the 2004 season.  Token debuted at Atlanta with an 11th-place run, but performed better at Martinsville and Mansfield where the truck posted two straight second-place finishes.
