Truck Series Crew Chief Fined for Violation at Richmond
Randolph C. (Randy) Andersen, crew chief for the No. 93 Chevrolet driven by Wayne Edwards in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, has been fined $3,000 by NASCAR for a rule infraction that occurred this past week at Richmond International Raceway.
Andersen was found in violation of Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and Section 12-4-Q (truck, truck parts, components and/or equipment used in the event that do not conform to NASCAR rules) of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rule Book, because of carburetor venturies that exceeded the specified size.
The violation was found during the event’s initial inspection process last Thursday (Sept. 9).
