Chase On Gateway:
Chase is coming off his 5th top 20 finish of the season last week at Kentucky.  He battled a ill-handling truck but safely brought home his #8 DODGE to a 20th place finish.

“This is another one of those tracks that I have never seen before.  I have heard that it is somewhat like Milwaukee and at the end of that race I was getting around there very well.  We are taking the same truck that we ran at that race in Milwaukee and I am confident in my crew to get the set-up under me and I believe that I will get the hang of the track fairly quickly. I seem to be growing fond of these flat tracks much like Milwaukee and Memphis, so I look for another strong run this week at Gateway.”

#8 DODGE at Gateway:
Chase will be racing the truck named “Chunky” this week.  This will be the third race of the season for this truck, as it previously performed very well at Memphis (18th) and was strong at Milwaukee before a battery failure cost Chase valuable laps in the pits and spoiled a good finish.

Gateway Appearances:
Chase will be making an appearance at the DODGE Merchandise trailer from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon before the race.

Chase Makes Debut In TV Booth:
Last week at the Kentucky Speedway, 20-year-old Chase Montgomery made his TV announcer debut as a guest analyst for the SPEED Channel broadcast of the ARCA RE/MAX Series race.  Chase spent parts of three seasons participating in the series and because of that was asked to join Phil Parsons and Bob Dillner in the booth for the race telecast.

“That was really fun to do.  I did not know what to expect but once I got going into the race I felt very comfortable.  I thought the technical stuff would be a little overwhelming but it was not at all.  Bob and Phil were great to work with and actually made it a little easier for me.  It was fun to view a race from up there in the booth – it gives you a whole different perspective.  I appreciate the opportunity that the folks at ARCA and SPEED Channel gave me and I welcome the chance to do it again.

Career at Gateway:
Chase will be making his career debut at the 1.25-mile layout of the Gateway International Raceway this week.
