Hank Parker, Jr., driving the Innovative Motorsports No. 21 Kerry Toyota Tundra, battled an extremely loose handling condition to finish 22nd at Kentucky Speedway.
Qualifying for the event was rained out, which relegated Parker, Jr. to start from the 19th position. He started the race with high hopes, but it just wasn’t meant to be. “ Throughout the race, the truck just wouldn’t hold in the turns. It kept rolling over on the right front, and then the back end would break loose, ” Parker, Jr. said. “The motor was strong, but with handling the way it was, there wasn’t much we could do with the horsepower. My crew worked extremely hard to give me a good truck and I know we’ll be ready for Gateway.” Hank continued, “We appreciate Kerry Toyota stepping up to be our primary sponsor for this one race, I just wish we could have got them a better finish.”
Hank and the No. 21 Toyota Tundra return to the track on July 17, 2004, at Gateway International Speedway. Live television coverage will be on Speed Channel, with radio coverage on the MRN Affiliates and XM Satellite Radio.
