• Setzer broke the single season streak of top-10 finishes in 2003 by finishing 20-straight races inside the top-10.
• Dennis Setzer won the 2002 race at Martinsville by starting in 33rd position. It is the farthest any competitor has ever started a NASCAR Truck Series race to go on and win.
Dennis Setzer on the Dover International Speedway:
“Dover is a very tough place to get a handle on. We have not had the best results there in the past, but our team has gotten better in some of the areas that have hurt us in the past here. Because you get back in the gas so early here, the gear selection and engine power are huge. The RCR engines have been a big boost to our program this year and our pit crew has been doing a great job.
The track tends to be a little green when we (the Trucks) get out there on Thursday. Its totally different when we go racing because the Cup and Busch Series put so many laps down between our first practice and the race. Its very abrasive to start with, but then the track starts to get some grip as more rubber is put down.
This weekend we will have a brand new truck at Dover. Its built specifically for the one-mile tracks and we hope it will be a good fit for Dover. Our best finish here is 9th and right now we are on a pretty good run of three straight top-three finishes. I would say our goal here is to get a top-three or top-five finish.”

The Truck – “PHILMORE” “Philmore” is one of the newest trucks in the MDM fleet. Philmore is named after a SOUTH PARK character like all other MDM trucks. Dover will be Philmore’s first race and he has only seen track time at Hickory Speedway for a shakedown. Philmore was built to compete at intermediate-size tracks like Dover.
