Jack Sprague quotes:
On Mansfield Win: “ The #16 Chevy Trucks Silverado was like a rocket when it came off the corners it hit so hard. It was one of those situations that it was not bad to be tight off the center. My truck was just perfect. We had the power under the hood and are pleased about our finish. We just kept digging, saved our stuff and it worked out.
I had perfect pit stops today and it all just came together.
“I had a blast at Mansfield--short tracks are great. I was even passing some of these trucks on the bottom. This is what makes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series so much fun, we were doing some beating and banging out there and everyone was having a ball. I don't think there was anyone who had a straight truck when it was over and the fans got a great race. I’m looking forward to going back there next year.
“I can't say enough about all GM Racing and Chevrolet have done for us this season. I am glad to be able to give them their first win in 2004.
On Infineon 200 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway: “Charlotte has always been one of my favorite tracks. I won the first race I ever ran there in a Late Model Sportsman. I have had great runs in a NASCAR Busch Series car as well. This will be my first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race there and I am really looking forward to it. Everyone on our Chevy Trucks Silverado team is so pumped up after the Mansfield win. We had an awesome test at Chicago and learned a great deal about how to improve our mile and a half-track program. It is nice to head into an event with the momentum you get from a trip to victory lane.
“Dave (Fuge, team manager), Chris (Showalter, crew chief) and all the guys on the team have been working really hard to make sure we improve from how things went in Atlanta. After the test, I think we have come a long way!
“The fans are always so excited at Charlotte. Plus being a night race, it is just a little more special. It is nice to be a part of one of the biggest events of the season for all of the NASCAR divisions. I am ready to get there, get in the truck and get going.”
