Dennis Setzer Fast Facts:

·          Dennis Setzer will have a teammate in Michael Waltrip for the running of the Infineon 200 at Lowe’s on Friday night.  Michael will be driving the #47 Morgan-Dollar Motorsports Silverado.

·          Both Dennis Setzer and Morgan-Dollar Motorsports are leading the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series point standings for the first time ever heading into the Infineon 200.

·          In addition to his 144 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts, Dennis Setzer has 7 Winston Cup and 102 Busch Grand National starts in his career including 2 Busch Series victories (South Boston 1994, Hickory 1994)

Dennis Setzer NCTS Records

·          Dennis Setzer tied a NASCAR record with the win at Mesa Marin in 2003.  He and Jack Sprague have at least one win in 6 straight seasons in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.  With a win in 2004, Dennis would set the mark at 7 straight and would become the sole owner of that record.

·          Setzer broke the single season streak of top-10 finishes in 2003 by finishing 20-straight races inside the top-10.

Dennis Setzer won the 2002 race at Martinsville by starting in 33rd position.  It is the farthest any competitor has ever started a NASCAR Truck Series race to go on and win.

Career Starts – 146  Top 10 Finishes – 93 (64%)   Top-5 Finishes – 54 (37%)

Career Wins – 10 (Bakersfield 1998; Nashville, New Hampshire, Texas 1999; Nazareth 2000; Memphis 2001; Martinsville 2002, Bakersfield, Martinsville, South Boston 2003)

Career Poles – 3 (IRP 1999, Kansas & Richmond 2001)

Dennis Setzer on Lowe’s Motor Speedway:
“Lowe’s Motor Speedway is a great track for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series to compete.  It’s the home track for the majority of the teams and the promoters do a first class job in promoting us here.  The night time setting gives the race a special feel to the race.  Everyone wants to win this one because for the most part we all live close by.

We have a brand new truck to run here in Charlotte.  The truck is one that we just finished building late in April and took to Chicagoland Speedway to test.  The truck was very good there and we hope that gave us a good idea of how to prepare for Lowe’s.”
