Engineered Machined Products, Inc. (EMP) and its OilMate brand has announced it will serve as an associate sponsor for Terry Cook and the No. 10 Power StrokeŽ Diesel Ford entry by ppc Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season.
EMP OilMate, designed exclusively for diesel engines, debuted as an associate sponsor with NCTS veteran driver Cook and Power Stroke Diesel in 2001 and proudly returns to Cook's No. 10 ppc Racing Ford this season.
"OilMate has a natural tie-in to the diesel engine market and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a wonderful place to showcase a terrific product," stated Cook, a winner of five career NCTS events. "We had a good season in 2003, but we are really looking forward to putting our new team right where they belong - in the Winner's Circle. We will be happy to take our longstanding friends and partners with us."
Moving to a championship caliber-team, Cook partnered with ppc Racing, the 2000 Busch Series Championship team, bringing sponsors like International Engines, Power Stroke Diesel and OilMate with him this season.
"We are excited that OilMate is back on board this year," said Bob Carso, Director of Marketing Operations for International Truck and Engine Corporation. "We are very appreciative of our long-standing relationship with Oil Mate and hope to have Terry drive our team straight to Victory Lane."
The EMP OilMate sponsorship is the latest motorsports alliance enacted by the company. Headquartered in Escanaba, MI., EMP also supports and sponsors a wide array of drivers in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Pro Stock and Sport Compact divisions, and the Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) Series.
"EMP and OilMate are fully committed to Motorsports and we are proud to return with Terry and the team for the 2004 season," stated EMP President and CEO Brian Larche. "The addition of ppc Racing will only make the team stronger. This relationship has been long and successful and we hope to take it far into the future."
