DAVID REUTIMANN ON QUALIFYING FOR HIS FIRST NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES RACE -

"Obviously, you want to be on the pole at every track you go to," said Reutimann. "We have definitely have improved over testing. I think our realistic goal for this Darrell Waltrip Motorsports team was to have a Top-15 qualifying effort for the No. 17 NTN Bearings Toyota NASCAR Craftsman Truck. We have come a long way from where we started to where we are now. It is a different time zone. Everybody is really excited about this program. This is a new team and my first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series effort. We are pleased with our first attempt of the 2004 season."

"The No. 17 NTN Bearings truck was a little free in qualifying trim, but it will be a completely different race vehicle by race time," continued Reutimann. "We are not really going to know what we have until we get out there in final practice tomorrow evening. Today the truck drove good in both practices. I don't know that we could have changed anything to pick up as much as we needed. We were moving in the right direction and I think Crew Chief Jason Overstreet and Bobby Kennedy are doing everything possible to have a solid setup for the race."
